Fireplaces, fireplace inserts and heating stoves

Choosing a fireplace, fireplace insert or heating stove for your home is a big decision! The right fireplace or heating stove will meet your home heating needs and your lifestyle. On top of that, it will add style and ambiance to your home. Whether you’re looking for a gas, wood-burning, pellet or electric appliance or whether you’re installing a new fireplace, adding or replacing a heating stove or rehabbing your hearth with a new fireplace insert, FireSide Hearth & Home has the fireplace to meet your needs! By starting your search for a hearth appliance at our online showroom, you can easily compare different makes, models and types of heating appliances to help you make and educated decision.

Gas logs

Another way to upgrade your fireplace, or add a hearth appliance to your home, is with gas logs. Gas logs can be installed in an existing fireplace to make your fireplace easier and more convenient to use, or they can be installed in a newly built firebox to create a new fireplace within your home. FireSide Hearth & Home carries a variety of gas logs, and you can peruse your options in our online store.

Fireplace doors

Fireplace doors can help you to get the most from your fireplace. Fireplace doors can block drafts from coming down your chimney and they can help prevent warm air from leaving your home through your fireplace. Fireplace doors also can keep embers from popping out of your fireplace and logs from shifting onto the hearth, posing a fire hazard. Fireplace doors can even increase the efficiency of your fireplace, capturing the heat of your fire and radiating it out into your room. On top of all of that, new fireplace doors can overhaul the look of your hearth and add style to your home. You’ll find a beautiful selection of fireplace doors in our online store.

Mantels and accessories

Fireplaces come with a host of accessories. The FireSide Hearth & Home online showroom has mantels to dress up your hearth, the tools you need to tend your fires and much, much more.

If you want to enjoy a new fireplace this winter, call us now!

Temperatures outside still may be warm and toasty. Hoever, before you know it, we’ll be feeling the chilly bite of fall! If you want to take the chill out of your fall and winter with a new fireplace, call FireSide Hearth & Home now! We can help you select the home-heating appliance that’s right for you. As you consider a new hearth appliance, here are some things you should be thinking about.

What do you want to get from your fireplace?

The first thing we need to know about your new fireplace is: What purpose will it serve? Are you looking just for the ambiance and glow of a roaring fire? Do you want your fireplace to serve as a decorative element or supplement your home-heating system? Knowing what you hope to get from your new fireplace will help to determine what type of fireplace would best suit your home.

Where will your fireplace be located?

Have you already picked out a spot in your home for your fireplace? The location of your fireplace will help to determine its size, as well as its venting type. There are fireplaces with traditional vertical chimneys. Also, there are direct-vent fireplaces that will offer high efficiency. In addition, they only require that a vent can easily be placed to the exterior of your home. Other fireplaces are vent-free. This means they don’t require chimneys, and can be placed in nearly any room and any location within your home.

What type of fireplace will you be looking for?

Do you have an existing hearth? If so, you may consider an insert to upgrade the look and efficiency of your fireplace, or change the fuel type. Will you be installing a new, prefabricated fireplace? Or do you prefer a free-standing heating stove that allows you to enjoy 360 degrees of heat?

What fuel do you prefer?

There are many different fuel sources for fireplaces: traditional wood, pellet, gas and electric. Each type of fireplaces has its own advantages. Wood offers a traditional look, but takes more work and maintenance. Pellet provides the glow of a traditional wood fire, but with less maintenance and higher efficiency. Gas offers the most efficient heat source and comes with convenience and ease of use.

Are there special features you’re looking for?

Fireplaces come with special features that make them more user friendly. A gas fireplace can be hooked to a thermostat to help control the temperature in your home, or they can be remote controlled for easy on/off. A wood-burning fireplace can be outfitted with a gas starter it easier to ignite a fire. Some fireplaces have blowers to capture and return more of the fire’s heat to your home.

Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for in a fireplace, or if you feel lost in a sea of fireplace options, the fireplace experts at FireSide Hearth & Home can help! We’ll ask the right questions and listen to your answers. We want to help you find the perfect fireplace to warm your home this winter.
